Why Today?!

Have you ever had a day where it was so vital you complete something, but you just don't seem to have enough hours in a day to finish it? It almost seems as though the clocks are purposely moving too fast for you to even compute what on earth is going on. It's breakfast time and in the amount of time it takes you to blink, half your day has already gone by! That day was today....

I promised myself that today would be the day I would get started and finish some of my major assignments for the end of the semester, i swore left, right, and center, it would be close to being done by tonight. Well......turns out other people decided to do some planning for me today. Instead of going and working on my assignments, I found myself at the grocery store, doing laundry, going into the city to help a friend pick out a grad dress, and then by the time i did get home, it was already 9:00, so much for getting my assignments getting done! :S

Moral of this story, if you want to get something done, say no!!!

Gotta Love them!

Awww.... Doesn't that face just make you want to smile? I don't know, there is just something about kid's that I love, they are just so cute and innocent, it makes me wish almost, I was their mom. I guess it is just my motherly instinct, but kids just make me want to smile, which is probably why I love to babysit so much.

Anyways the point is today I was babysitting these three kids, they were ages 3, 6, and 8. Yes, i know how on earth did I survive 13 hours with them.... truthfully they were little angels. I don't know why people are always hating when they have to babysit kids really aren't bad, honestly what are they going to do with their entire body mass of 60 pounds? It isn't like they can kill you with their imagination either.

Kids are more interested really, in discovering the correct function of a juice box than to plan an attack on their sitter. Or like today, trying to convince me that a magical whirlpool will teleport the water from their brothers cup into their sisters face, but it didn't happen, because and I quote, "That isn't possible, we would need a hurricane for that" lol, XD you gotta love kids!

Insomniac?

Hello everyone, Have you ever had one of those nights where no matter how hard you tried, you just couldn't get to sleep? You toss and turn, pull the covers on and off, fluff you pillows, count sheep, and just wish you would drift off, but it never happens. Yup, that's me tonight and actually the inspiration for this nifty blog, (yes i am aware no one uses that word anymore XD But, i love it none the less.) Which is why this blog is named "The Life of an Insomniac", because really who would have this much time to write a blog if they had a day life?

Anyways today was a good day I guess, my best friend and I discovered something we thought was absolutely amazing, a part of the English language that i think many people don't pay attention too, or really never discover. it is so amazing that it honestly kept us amused for at least an hour. This incredible power, is the magical intensity of dramatic pauses. We noticed, that with any sentence, (or pretty much any sentence) by placing a pause before the last thought it completely changes a word. Example take this normal sentence: "Did you have fun outside today" an innocent sentence, but when a pause is added, "Did you have...fun...outside today" the sentence changes into an innuendo.
mmhmmm, yes i know I probably really seem as though i need to crawl out from under my giant rock and do something worth while, but hey, what's life if you didn't discover something new?

The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.(Marcel Proust)
